We tried running Brandon Sanderson’s convention game Story Deck at TwitchCon and it was huge success. So we are bringing it to SDCC!
Story Deck is a collectible trading card game, full of stories, art, and secrets from the many wondrous worlds of Brandon Sanderson.
Players go to the Tabletop area and then sign up at the Story Deck Registration booth pay a $15 entry fee and are given two packs of Story Deck and a quest card. As a bonus players also receive UltraPro 9 pocket pages to display your cards.
Players then go from booth to booth in the tabletop completing quests and getting their quest card stamped. Players turn in their completed quest card daily for an additional pack. The goal is to open packs and trade cards with other players at the show to build out your collection so that you can read the full stories. As a bonus, there are some rare alternate cards that have some twists on the text of the normal version of the card.
Supplies are limited and players are encouraged to register on Thursday for maximum time to complete the quests and win packs – and as importantly to have time to trade cards and complete your sets!
